Xiaomi Mi A2 has been launched at the Xiaomi global launch event in Spain. It is a much awaited smartphone on 2018. Mi A2 is the Android One model from Xiaomi. The Mi A1 was one of the best Android One smartphone by Xiaomi. The Mi A2 lite was also announced at the event. The both devices are mainly targeting on European countries.
The Xiaomi Mi A2 built on Qualcomm SDM660 snapdragon 660 chipset, supports Android version 8.1 (oreo) and has Adreno 512 GPU. The CPU in Xiaomi Mi A2 is octa-core (4×2.2 GHz Kryo 260 & 4×1.8 GHz Kryo 260). The dimensions of the phone are 158.7×75.4×7.3 mm and 168 g weight. Internal memory options are 128 GB, 6 GB RAM or 64 GB, 4/6 GB RAM or 32 GB, 4 GB RAM. The card slot is not present. Xiaomi Mi A2 is built using glass at front and an aluminium body. Since dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by) can be used in the phone.

Xiaomi Mi A2 has a non-removable Li-ion 3010 mah battery with fast battery charging 5V/2A. The size of the phone is 5.99 inches with LTPS IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen and 1080×2160 pixels resolution, multitouch is enabled and since corning Gorilla glass 3 provides the protection, it can resist much scrathes. The technology used are GSM/CDMA/HSPA/LTE and provide a speed of HSPA 42.2/5.76 Mbps, LTE-A (3CA) cat 12 600/150 Mbps. Xiaomi Mi a2 supports 2G, 3G and 4G bands along with GPRS and EDGE. 2G bands are GSM 850/900/1800/1900-SIM 1 & SIM 2. Similarly 3G bands are HSDPA 850/900/1900/2100. Finally 4G bands are LTE band 1(2100), 3(1800), 5(850), 7(2600), 8(900), 34(2000).

Primary camera has dual 12MP (f/1.8, 1/2.9″) + 20MP (f/1.8, 1/2.8″), PDAF, LED flash. Similarly secondary camera has 20MP (f/1.8, 1/2.8″), 1080P, Auto-HDR. Video resolutions are 2160P@30fps, 1080P@30fps and 720P@120fps. Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR and panorama are other features of camera.
Above all sensors like finger print which is at the rear end and accelerator, gyro, proximity and compass are present. SMS, MMS, Email, push Email, IM are the messaging options.since Xvid/MP4/H.265 player, MP3/WAV/eAAC+/FLAC player are made available along with document viewer and photo/video editor. Similarly Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB (2.0, reversible connector), infrared port, radio and loudspeaker. 3.5mm jack is not present, but there is active noise cancellation with dedicated mic. Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, WiFi, direct, hotspot is the supported WLAN. Finally Xiaomi Mi A2 is launched in cherry pink, flame red, sand gold, glacier blue and black colors and price is about EUR 249 for 4 GB variant & EUR 349 for 6 GB variant.
